Announcing Vs. Promoting

Hey everybody, Tony Zalecki here, and today we’re going to talk about announcing something versus promoting something. Now, I’ve been in the network marketing field like 30 years, built multi million dollar businesses literally all over the world, and when you’re announcing something and saying hey.  Get on this call.

Come to this event. Try this product. Meet this person.  I’m telling you what, you’re not going to get the bang for your buck. You’re not going to get the engagement you want. You’re not going to get the yeses that are on the top of your mind. You’re not going to get people to raise their hand, lean forward, and want to join, want to show up, want to come, want to be a part of it.

Because you’re announcing it. And when you’re announcing it, no one wants to Be a part of that. No one wants to engage in that. No one wants they’re they hear announcements. It’s every day, 24 seven on the internet, uh, people texting them, people calling them, and there’s nothing special about it. So you need to promote verse announce anything that you’re doing.

So if you’re trying to get someone to watch something for your business, you’re trying to get someone to buy something for your business. If you’re trying to get someone to show up at an event for your business, you better promote it. And what do I mean by promote it? Verse announcing is you better have your points down.

You better have what I call your verbal commercial In motion, so they know why they should buy your product. You know, what it’s going to do for them, the benefits, right? What they’re struggling with, what it’s going to overcome, you know, how it’s going to positively affect their life, change their life, how they’re going to, like, take this product and really create a new story, and they’re going to be emotionally connected to you promoting that product.

Now, if you’re talking about an event, because I do a lot of events all around the world, and events are everything, right? And what events do, just so you know for people, is it recharges their battery, right? You’re out there building a business, you’re out there talking to people, you’re out there shaking the trees to see what falls off, so you can go out and be successful.

But when you’re doing all that, your battery becomes really low your personal battery and you need to charge your battery again, right? You need to get back to 100%. You know, our iPhones or whatever phone you’re using gets to 15%, 10%. What do you do? I got to plug it in because it needs to go to 100 percent again.

Same thing with an event, right? If your battery is low, meaning you’re in, you know, your excitement, maybe Your mindset, your skill sets right there at a a low level. You gotta get ’em back to a high level. Events, do that right? Events will get people to move. Faster and produce more and to see a bigger picture than you can ever share with them, right?

Events will get people knowing that they made the right decision to join you. To, you know, run with you. To create a story with you. To create a new life for them, right? Because they know that they’re in the right place. So, when you’re promoting events, you’ve got to tell them what’s happened to you at that event that you went to.

What’s happened to the people around you that you’ve had a chance to work with had a chance to bring their had a chance for Them to see two three four days or whatever your event is of what it’s all about But you got to tell them what they’re gonna get out of it You got to tell them the breakthrough they’re gonna have the six months that’s gonna take off their learning curve, right?

The defining moment They’re going to sit there and watch someone tell a story and the lightbulb is going to go off and they’re going to go, Oh my gosh, I got it now. I’ve heard it from you the last six months, but that person is just like me. They told their story on stage and man, I’m all in man.

Holy cow. I got it now. So when you promote something, you’re making it a big deal. You know, I’m a big boxing fan, right? And growing up. I watched the biggest promoter of all time, Don King, in the boxing world. Remember Don King with the crazy hair? He’s always smiling. You know what I mean? He’s always in a tuxedo.

Where are my boxing fans out there? Do you remember Don King? Well, Don King was a promoting machine. Don King back then had Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson was a newcomer, right? Iron Mike Tyson. He was coming up in the ranks, but Don King, man, he wrapped his arms around Mike Tyson and he would promote his butt off about the next fight and about what was going to happen at this fight and what was going to happen, you know, if you were in the, in the building watching the fight, if you were pay per view in the fight.

Oh my god, what you would experience, the joy you would have, what you would see, what you would get a chance to be a part of. You would make history with the whole boxing world, with Don King Productions, and with you, right? And you just felt so good about your decision, right? Same thing when you’re promoting your event, your product, the person you’re working with, why they should join you, why they should work with you.

It has to be more than just come work with me, come to my event, come buy my product. Like there has to be more to it. There has to be an emotional connection. There has to be you sharing your story, being vulnerable, talking about. What happened to your world because of that? What happened to the people that, you know, you brought to the table?

Their story, their experience, their breakthrough. Like, people need to hear that. So, when you’re all in about promoting something, Guess what’ll happen? Your numbers go up. You get more people engaged. You get more people to say yes. You get more people to buy. You get more people to join. You get more people to show up, no matter where that event is cross country.

And that’s the magic in our business. So, you’re real, you’re authentic, you’re passionate, you’re excited. You have enthusiasm. You’re pouring into your promotion. Whatever that promotion looks like. But what you’ve got to catch yourself in is what amateurs do. Hey, come on and join. Hey, come on or join this product like they’ve never joined before.

So let me know your thoughts on this. Get over to sarahandtony. com. We have got more great free information over there about promoting and building a Rockstar brand and building a seven figure business. This is your year.
