Leadership: the action of leading a group of people or an organization. And you’ll probably agree there are a TON of great resources on levelling up your leadership, but … what about learning how to lead yourself? Or, quite frankly, what does that even mean?

In this blog, we’re going to give you three ways that are KEY in not only growing yourself but also growing your network marketing business.

How to lead yourself in network marketing

Let us let you in on a little secret …

Before leading anyone else, you must learn how to lead yourself.

Consider when prospecting someone for your business (customer or social marketer). You are more than likely sharing with them all the incredible things you’ve come to learn about your business, right? This includes products/services, team culture, resources, etc. Now, we want to encourage you to remind yourself of ALL these incredible things every day.

In other words — prospect yourself each day. Not only will this help affirm your decisions and commitment to your business, but it will also help you to lead yourself in a direction that can better serve others. And guess what? You may even find through these daily reminders all the incredible things you had perhaps forgotten about while being wrapped up in other things.

“Go out and lead the world, but never forget to begin by leading yourself first at home. You can’t lead the environment if you can’t lead yourself in it.” -Raymond M. Kethledge.

Next up, let’s talk about HABITS.

Ask yourself this;

  1. What habits are serving you?
  2. What habits are empowering you?

And on the flip side of those questions — ask yourself this;

  1. What habits are causing you to be unproductive
  2. What habits are getting you off track?

Once you can identify which habits are NOT serving you … replace them with ones that are. Consider it a game of give and take — take away the ‘bad’ and replace it with the ‘good.’ A great way to recognize these not-so-kind habits is to write them down.

Next time you find yourself slipping off track or feeling like you’re on a hamster wheel, slow down and take a moment to take note of what’s going on.

The quicker you can identify these habits — the better. Why?

Because replacing them with the good will help you create great habits and be well on your way to leading yourself to greatness.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, where you came from. The ability to triumph begins with you. Always.” – Oprah Winfrey

Lastly, be a finisher.

Think about that feeling of accomplishment when you’ve completed a task, project or goal. It feels epic, right? It’ll start to catch on when you begin to lead yourself by renewing your belief, instilling great habits and accomplishing those tasks you set out to do.

You will find that people around you will want to be a part of what you have going on.

Actions always speak louder!
