Is Cross Recruiting in Network Marketing Ethical?

Law Insider tells us that: Cross Recruiting means soliciting a Distributor, into another Business company.

So, when asked if we felt this was ethical, or simplest answer is, NO!

From an ethics standpoint, what is good moral behavior regarding Network Marketing and trying to cross-recruit or move someone from one company to another?

First, use the concept of the golden rule – do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You don’t want people constantly going after your team; that downline you have worked hard to build.

So, what are the Cross Recruiting Ethics?

In Network Marketing, especially for new people, it’s often easier to go after those we already know are involved in our profession. However, it’s not as simple as being right or wrong.

When you look deeper, is this the right way to build a team? In the above below, we talk about good volume and bad volume. If they jump to your company, what stops them from jumping to another soon after? This volume is volatile, to say the least — Steady Eddy is always a good idea.

And while this may seem like the easy thing to do, it’s not.

Because we want to be clear here, too — if people are unhappy where they’re at, they’re already looking, and the beauty of this profession is people can do whatever they please.

Moving may be their/your best choice if you have issues with your company that seem unresolvable, don’t have the excitement or desire, or can’t really stand behind a product line or company culture. For some reason, many of us have joined companies only to discover that it is not an excellent fit for us.

If it’s just a challenge to buckling down and contacting people and sharing your network marketing business with them, then that will not resolve itself with a new company instantly.

Go with your gut in all situations.

And be a great person for our profession.
