The word intention has been a trending one for some time now. Delivering value, with intention. Creating content, with intention. Being intentional with your time. And, intentional in your relationships. But, how does this all it with being an intentional entrepreneur?

Stand out Above the Rest in your Connections

We have an incredible opportunity with social media to connect in new ways, right? When you go to an event or a conference, bring your top notch game and get intentional about exactly who you want to connect with and how you want to do that.

It’s not enough to just send a virtual message. Stand out by going above and beyond – a handwritten note, following through when you say you are going to, or sending a thoughtful gift – all of these little things add up to big things. Remember, always focus on the long-term.

Get Intentional with your Goals

This is where you want to know, where you want to go in the next 90 days but also in the next few years. What will it take for you to get there? Do you know how much revenue you are generating on a monthly basis?

What do you need to do to get to where you want to go? Be your own best cheerleader. Listen. Ask. Listen some more.

Do more than you think you can do. This is where you want to stretch yourself in becoming that intentional entrepreneur.

What is your Brand Saying for You?

Your brand is so much more than your logo (seriously!). It’s who you are, how you say things, the people you attract, and the manner in which you communicate online and offline with people. It’s all about the details.

When you are true to your authentic self, your brand — stop worrying about what you are not versus what you are, that’s golden. Remember, amplify your strengths — always.

Get Real about who you WILL Work with

For us, being an intentional entrepreneur means that we do refuse to work with a client or company that we don’t believe in. Or frankly, don’t get along with. It’s not worth it to us and, in the long run, it doesn’t benefit anyone.

Life is too short to always be fighting an upstream battle with people who question every decision that you make or why you’re making them.

It’s also imperative to get very clear on who you want to work with. And, make intentional efforts to work with those people. Whether it’s connecting in person or via social media you have to make the effort to make it happen. Put them in a list of people you want to connect with and put in the sweat equity to build that relationship authentically.

Getting into the trenches with the right tools and skills will have you on the fast track to becoming an intentional entrepreneur!
