As a network marketer, you probably have the desire to grow a strong team — this post is for you. 

We will give you four simple things that we execute regularly and have seen others create breakthroughs due to implementing.

4 SIMPLE THINGS TO GROW A STRONG TEAM

 

First, don’t assume that the people you bring into your business will be as serious about it as you. See, we can’t put our expectations on others — this happens far too often, and we see people let down or discouraged (totally avoidable). 

It’s essential to meet people where they’re at. Many times, people aren’t ready to get started right away, and that’s OK. Sometimes people want to feel out the products or services, right? Or, maybe they want to explore the culture and company before diving right in.

Be the doorway, not the destination. 

 

Let’s be honest who knows who these same people will lead you to — or they may pull you through a doorway that will teach you a new perspective, skills, etc. So do yourself a favor and take the pressure off yourself by removing the expectations you’re putting on others. 

PUSH VS. PULL.

What does that mean? To grow a strong team, you want to learn to ask the right questions. 

  • What are they passionate about? 
  • Why are they even looking at the business? 
  • Where do they feel like they could be in 6 months?

Could you find out more about them?

Unfortunately, we often get caught in telling them what they think they want to hear. And the truth is, they probably don’t even want to listen to the stuff you’re telling them. Why? Because we get in their face — because we’re focused on the sale or sign up instead of the person in front of us. 

Ask yourself this; are you pushing, or are you pulling?

DO NOT FORGET TO RECOGNIZE PEOPLE REGULARLY. 

Do you ever feel like the only time you see people being recognized is at these significant events or at higher income levels? Unfortunately, we have seen it happen far too much, and we would encourage you to celebrate people for their first customer, their first dollar earned in their business, or maybe they’ve learned a new skill or did their first Facebook Live. 

Whatever makes the most sense for your business, get in the habit of celebrating the small wins! Because guess what? Small wins LEAD to big wins, and when people feel appreciated and celebrated, they stay around longer. 

The power of retention, right? 

RECOGNIZE ACTIONS, NOT JUST RESULTS.

This one might sound a little funny but stop trying to motivate all the time. Instead, focus more so on inspiring others. Then, when you work on your business and achieve results and/or create stories to share, YOU are showing them that the system works. 

Demonstrate through your actions how results can be/are achieved. 

By inspiring others through your actions, you show them that anyone can truly make it happen. 

So ask yourself this; are you motivating, or are you inspiring?
