Are You Getting in the Trenches With Your Team?

One of the BIGGEST mistakes we see people making in the network marketing industry is signing up a new team member and NOT putting in the work with them. People don’t see the results they want, but they’re also not getting in the trenches.

You HAVE to be prepared to get messy with your new team members. And by messy, we mean getting to work WITH them; phone calls, zooms, making lists — whatever they need to get started. We see so many people just left to figure it out, and guess what?

Most don’t — most end up quitting.

What we want to encourage you today is not to be most people. Make a commitment to yourself and the new people you bring into your business that you will get in the trenches with them, support them and follow through on the promises you made before they joined you in your business.

Time to Start Getting in the Trenches

So, what type of leader do you want to be?

What are the things you hope your team (or soon-to-be team) would say about you? For example, would they talk about how supportive and present you are?

Or, would they refer to you as the one who signed them up, and that was that?

In addition to the video we recorded for you above, here are three additional tips to help you stay inspired to get in the trenches with your people!

Focus on their Dream

If you have increased your pace of recruiting, you are likely going through more significant numbers of people to find the few leaders representing 80-90% of your overall growth. The fastest way to sort through people is to understand their direction in life (their dream) and the degree of motivation to change their life at this time.

These are all things that could have (should have) been discussed before signing them up; however, let this be one of the first things you tackle together. When people have a dream, a vision, a belief — the rest of the work can be centred around that.

Engage your new team member

The most critical time for duplication is the 30 minutes after signing up a new member. If you do not set their expectations correctly and show them what it takes to invite people to look at your business, you have lost an opportunity to create a team of 5, 10 or more new members in the next few weeks.

The more you engage and get in the trenches with your new team member, the more you get to know them and help them create their story!

Set the Pace

Regardless of where you are in your business, if you only have two people in your team or 22,000, you need to increase your productivity if you want to go to the next level. Usually, we always follow the rule of having at least 7-10 new conversations every day.

However, if you are looking to experience a massive change in your life in the next 6-12 months, you could increase that to having 15-20 new conversations every day — including those magical three-way chats while you’re hanging out in the trenches with your team.

If you are ready to make it happen with your team, type I AM WILLING in the comments below, and WE will cheer you on!
