This post is ideal for anyone who is in the network marketing space and/or, those who are looking to grow a sales team in their respective industry.. And, we’re going to show you how to do that using Facebook Groups.

Short story for you — we get asked all the time ‘how can I recruit more people into my business? Often, this question comes from people who have minimal engagement on their personal Facebook profiles, perhaps they have burned through their hot lists already or, those who just haven’t established a good size network yet.

The good news is, there are so many other places on Facebook where they can get ‘in on the action’ — they just don’t know how to yet. For us, this has been in Facebook groups.

See, there are thousands of groups on Facebook with every possible topic under the sun, right? Which also means, there are thousands of people in those groups who may be looking for you and they just don’t know it yet! So, let’s help you find them.

Facebook Groups are Golden for Recruiting Efforts

First and foremost PLEASE join groups that you are interested in. There’s nothing worse than spending (aka wasting) time in groups that just don’t fire you up. Because, the whole goal of plugging into these groups is to meet new people with common interests.

For example I, (Tony) enjoy sports groups, fitness groups, personal development groups, grilling groups, etc. Whereas Sarah has the groups that she loves, right? The goal is get into groups that interest you. Seriously, grab a piece of paper and write down your hobbies, things that interest you, something you’d like to learn about etc. Then, seek out groups that fall under those categories.

Additionally, when you are seeking out these groups have a look at their engagement before joining. You will have much more success in a group that sees engagement, multiple posts a day, a decent numbers of members, etc. Otherwise, you could end up spinning your wheels in there for very little (or nothing).

Go where the Action is!

Three things you want to consider when you are interacting in these groups. The goal is;

  1. comment some value
  2. add them poster as a friend
  3. message them (be genuine, open with a compliment)

Another great way to keep the conversation going in messenger and open up with the topic you commented on in the group. This is already something of similarity and reliability and these are both key to beginning a relationship. Offering advice is also a great way to build rapport with that person. You of course want to be mindful that it’s not unsolicited advice but you should already have a good handle on this based on the first interaction in those Facebook Groups.

From there … ask questions!

Remember, you reached out to them so you need to lead with value and follow up with the right questions to keep them engaged. As mentioned in the above video we were hosting a bootcamp on this very topic. And, although this time has come and gone — if this is something of interest to you definitely reach out to us for future dates!

Recruiting can be a daunting task for many people however, take it from us — there is a ton of power learning how to use Facebook groups that right way! Are you currently using groups as part of your strategy?
