Matt Morris once said; Becoming a millionaire means your dreams need to be bigger than their no. We find this to be such a powerful statement — and so TRUE. And, it’s something to keep in mind for anyone building a network marketing business who is seeking that millionaire level.
In this post, we will share a few things that we believe everyone needs when building a business, whether customers or social marketers/distributors — these things will apply.
When we were inducted into the Million Dollar Hall of Fame, we were overcome with various emotions. In some ways, it felt so surreal, but then it felt like heck yea, we did! because … we worked HARD to get here. It was a decade of ups and downs, ebbs and flows, doubt and persistence …ALL of it! And we wouldn’t change it for anything.
Although we’re still fired up about this achievement, what fires us up even more is seeing others on their journey to chasing their BIG dreams. It’s about what happens when no one is looking, and climbing into the trenches when walking away would be so much easier, right?
We love seeing others win, and our journey has always been our commitment to others; our teams, our customers, and our mentors.
Becoming a Millionaire
It took us more than a decade to get here — including the two years it took Sarah to introduce the products or opportunity to anyone.
Being afraid of what others ‘might’ think and being unsure of the ability to present it ‘perfectly’ had her STUCK. Despite what felt like a strong ‘why’ and an incredible work ethic … it was as though she was frozen, aka, scared.
But then something changed … and the rest is history.
We are now committed to helping others achieve their goals and dreams in whatever shape and size they come in! So, let’s get started with the three things we’ve done and have continued to do throughout our journey and hope you will implement them into your business-building journey.
Know and Understand that it’s Going to Take Time
At the beginning of your journey or restarting your business, please understand that it will require more time from you than later on. Consider this dedication to time your planting season.
You HAVE to plant the seeds to get to the harvest stage (and we promise it’s worth it). One of our suggestions is to set yourself a schedule that becomes non-negotiable. For those of you with families … keep them in the loop. The more your family or support circles are involved with understanding your WHY and reason for the time commitments, the better it will be for you.
It’s often in this beginning stage that you will be tempted to quit. It can (and probably will) feel like you’re doing a ton of work with little to no results, BUT we want to encourage you to keep going because you deserve it.
Know and understand that it’s going to take work
Attaining a millionaire-type status in the network marketing or direct sales industry … takes WORK. Similar to the note above regarding the time commitments, it will require you to stretch your comfort zone, stay consistent and be all in.
Please note: when we mention ‘putting in the work,’ this means productive time for your business and yourself.
Too often, especially for those building businesses on social media, work can be confused with getting caught in the scroll, not being intentional with content or engagement, etc. Be intentional with your time and avoid the time sucker activities. Decide to talk to more people — YOU have your hands on something that can change another person’s life — don’t be selfish with it!
Know and Understand that it is Going to Require you to Grow
If your goals are to become a millionaire in network marketing or direct sales, you must commit to your growth. This growth will be both personal and professional.
One of the main things we realized over the years was that we needed to learn from those who came before us. We needed to seek out mentorship and, more than anything, work on who we were as people.
As a result, we have become better professionals, parents, friends, and partners.
